We're always looking for good stories. We accepta variety of entries (shorts, documentaries, features animations, and screenplays). We're interested in DVD-formatted movies and original screenplays that are done by Asian producers, directors, writers, include Asian characters, subjects, locations or motifs. Asians and non-Asians are welcome to enter!

We're in the planning stages for the 11th annual Boulder Asian Film Festival. It seems like we're skipping a year, but we're moving the date to winter. Entry solicitations will be in the spring, but the festival is set for Valentine's Day weekend 2009. The BAFF is jointly sponsored by the Boulder Asian Pacific Alliance and the Colorado Film Society in Downtown Boulder.

The 10th annual Boulder Asian Film festival August 15, 17 - 19, 2007 is in the can.

Many thanks to the entourages who attended representing: Mu, Golden Voice, The Portent, Running Dragon, Here to There, Pieces of a Memory, Ripped, Shambhala, Tamdin's Journey

The Screenwriters Reception was a big success at the Boulder International Film Festival Offices on August 15th with lots of food from Tra-Lings, Vodka 14 Martinis, Fat Tire Beer and good conversation with the festival's top screenwriters. Chris Barrera, Susan Rossi and Bob LaRue attended. Bob and his son Joe are in proproduction on Adobo and I want to do Bouncy Ball. We're hoping to make one of the features.

The Festival at the Boulder Theater opened with the Wahoo's Fish Taco - 8 Island BBQ - Himalayas Luau. Internationally-acclaimed Cats of Mirikitani is always well received and the premiere of Gold Digger was a huge hit, as well. Movies all day Saturday ending with the Luau and a Wendy Woo and Katie Hertzig show. Wendy played a bunch of her new stuff.

Interested in spirituality? The Shambhala Center was the site for a group of great spirituality-related documentaries including one about the Shambhala Center.
